My project-inspired practice is rooted in my exploration of coral ecosystems and is primarily inspired by the symbiotic relationships within coral reef ecosystems. High temperatures can damage coral ecosystems and most corals have a narrow temperature tolerance. Coral bleaching occurs when corals are stressed, they first develop a fluorescent coating that resists high temperatures and gradually they not only lose their colour (turning white) but also lose their built-in food source and eventually die.
